not technical savvy- i was told a monitor would be better than my tv

for clarity and lag so here it goes. help plz- was going to buy Asus VG248QE 1ms 144Hz refresh rate for my xbone (also have a 360) stuck with consoles$$, i was told a monitor would be better than my 42 and 36 inch tv. so 1 ms and 144 got me interested, 50
mbps internet, tweakable router. so what can i do for the viewing option on a budget, im old slow and have poor vision. when i saw "they dont even run at 60 fps just to begin with, they are locked at the 30 fps limit line for no apparent reason." im ready
to throw in the towel after 4 hrs stumbling around. i was going to ask how to hook it to my xbone (hdmi cable does not go above30/60

Xbox One To Laptop

just pick up a 200$ gaming monitor online with 1080p and hdmi. my computer monitor looks wayyyyyyyyyyyy better than my 46' tv.

 

Who else gave the Homefront demo a shot?

Im weird, i feel that i play much better on a small 18" monitor than my 40'' Tv.

 

I do not understand why someone would recommend a monitor with how the definition on a modern full 1080i HD TV is now. Most even have a specific setting especially for gaming.

And surely if you have poor vision the bigger the screen size the better?

 

I wouldn't worry about a monitor when your big tv would be better if you have poor vision like I do. The bigger the better.

 

A monitor would produce a better picture clarity wise since the pixel density is higher on a monitor. The response time is faster as well.

 

i just hooked up my xbone and in the networking statistics i see 78ms latency so whats the difference if i have 1ms on a 27" monitor or 6ms on 42" widescreen tv lag is the issue and 50mpbs and hardware vs servers and hack/switchers...
