Discus and support not sure what to make of this error... in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; hello. Back again, never seen this before in any game, hoping theres no major issues... so, ive been playing tetris on my windows phone, last night...     not sure what to make of this error...


    hello. Back again, never seen this before in any game, hoping theres no major issues...

    so, ive been playing tetris on my windows phone, last night unlocked the achievement by beating my high score 5 times. I later on went to play my 360. specifically, defense grid. About 2 min into my first game an error message popped up (from within the
    game, not Xbox), it read "failure to unlock achievement. Check network connection and storage device".both were fine when i check so tried again n kept getting the same error message.

    my issue is, the achievement i unlocked in tetris blitz is not unlicked according to xbox but it is in the game. How do i get about this?

    just to make sure

    If you get put into one via normal match making you should leave it instantly by either going to the Xbox 360 dashboard, or switching off your console.

    Not sure what to do

    When you get the 3 red lights, what color is the light on your power brick? If it is anything other than green, try turning off your xbox and then disconnect the power brick from the xbox, wall, and the cable going into the brick. Then plug it all back in
    and see if that corrects the issue.

    If the light on the power brick is green, send it in for repair. I would recommend including a note that the issue is intermittent if you do decide to send it in for repair. By the way, it is cheaper to submit your repair online rather than calling xbox
    support.

    Error: Make sure an ethernet cable is pluged in.

    1. Try another CAT5 (Ethernet) cable.

    2. Try unplugging your router/modem for a minute (power cycling) and plugging them back in.

    3. Try "My XBox" > "System Settings" > "Network Settings" > "Test XBox Live Connection"

    See what happens after trying those first three.

    ^ The problem for me is that when I go into network settings by testing a connection, I have to select a network, there's no option for settings or anything. And when I select the network.. I get the ethernet cable error (I don't think its my xbox because
    I was just using LAN a little bit ago at home). There's no way for me to get to network settings because of this. What can i do?

    Hi, if you have tried different cables and different ports on the router and also looked at the network port to ensure it has no bent pins or any obstructions then I'm afraid it sounds like your Xbox is faulty and needs either:-

    A repair by Microsoft

    Replacing with a new one

    Or you could use a wireless adapter as a work around (not cheap though)

    If you are caught in a modded lobby by the PET you will be summarily banned from live with your gamertag. They no longer give any distinction between whether you got there accidentally or not.

    I wouldn't risk private party games. Even if you leave right away. There is no way to know if the lobby or game is modded. Just play public matches.
