as of today I've received my first communications ban

this account is 10 years old and one more that was made roughly 3-4 years before this one was made and ive never had a communications ban.

this is what i would like to know if the online games is not rated by the ESRB then why is it limited to chat and why is microsoft handing out temporary bans. if someone finds someone offensive or has a problem with another player you have the ability to
block and or mute them.

and secondly where is the proof of my "foul language" or what ever ive been banned for i am never in game chat always in party chat.

as a paying customer for almost 15 years i think this is absolute bullcrap. handing out soft bans for something either said or typed isnt right as online gameplay isnt rated. where is it justified? if this is the case and it will
keep being this way without even being able to appeal to a soft ban then ill take my business elsewhere.

/e also **** talking is part of gaming. it has been for years since games have been released.

From what I've read, you are trying to connect your Xbox 360 controller to windows 10?

Here are the steps for that for connecting it:

1. Plug the Xbox 360 wired controller into any USB 2.0 or 3.0 port on the computer.

2. Windows 10 will automatically install drivers for your controller. Once you see the pop-up notification that the drivers have been installed, you can use your controller.

3. Open a game or the Xbox app and test your controller by pressing a button, pulling a trigger, or moving a stick on the controller.

Notes:

• If your Xbox 360 wired controller is not detected by your PC, try plugging it into a different USB port, and then test it again.
  
• If your controller still does not work, check that Windows 10 is fully updated. Install any updates and then try again.
  
• Refer to your game documentation for information about how to configure the Xbox 360 controller for a specific game.
  
• Drivers for Xbox controllers are included with Windows 10, so you won't have to download or install software othr than Windows 10 updates.

Make sure that your computer is up to date, as well as your chipset drivers being up to date. Windows 10 supports both wired and wireless controllers, of both the XBONE and the 360. So the issue isn't with Windows 10 per-say, just with your current configuration
and/or drivers.

states. clearly offensive language, but whos to dictate whats offensive and whats not? say your from eu and use the word **** on a daily basis but not in an offensive way. is that justified? no it is not

Swear word is swear word and its not allowed on XBL as per the rules that you have agree to follow, broke them and you face the consequences, its that simple really.

Keep in mind that Sony/Nintendo etc has also their own version of gaming police team and punishment if caught breaking their respective rules and they don’t even have a case review like Xbox does.

Yes and no. Anyone can report you for any reason, but you will only receive a suspension/ban if the enforcement team determine you have done something to violate the code of conduct. You can have a million complaints filed against you and not receive a ban.

 

I am from the EU and I don't use **** on a daily bases. Where are you from?

And what makes you think that there are levels of bad language or behaviour?

Every report gets investigated by XBLPET before a suspension is issued so there is no chance for spam ban

In addition to what has also been said. If people report people that look to be SPAM reports, the Xbox Enforcement team will deal with that as well. We should only report folk if they have done something wrong and if we have seen it. Not because someone
told us to report. Besides, every complaint gets reviewed anyway
