Not sure if my BF4 updated

I downloaded the new update like 4 days ago only to find I couldn't connect to the EA servers. After fixing this today, I played a few good 32vs32 matches and was so happy again. Then, the server issues started to occur again. I uninstalled the game and
reinstalled it and now I am having the same issues I was having before the latest update. I.E. extreme lag, crashes, getting sent to Team Deathmatch when trying to play Conquest, no matches showing on server browser, etc etc. Is there any way to manually download
the update or check if I do or do not have it?

i am joining a party chat to talk to my friends and it says i am prevented from talking to people because of a setting in my preferences, but i have the setting to where i am able to talk to everyone, i reset my system and checked my NAT type and its open
working with no problems, but i don't know if i am banned or not?

I'd like to know as well. It told me there was an update, and 5 seconds later it was all good. Same thing happened with dead rising 3...so I'm unsure of what was done, IF anything.

I wish you could select a game and hit menu and see what the last patch was and date it was done. Since this is basically windows 8, it would be similar to the 'properties' you would request on a file...

If your game was not up to date, you would not be able to get into any server. You would get an error message on entering a sever. a suggestion would be uninstall the game and power off you xbox completely ( unplug it ) and turn it back on and re install.
if you have a disk version make sure there is nothing on the disk when trying to reinstall.

BF4 is nice since the updates. Make sure you guys are clearing cache. This seems to help many.

any update on the bf4 china rising dlc and why I cant play a dlc that I paid for??? XBOX sure is quick to take the $$ out of my account but we cant get with EA on a fix for this??

This happens with many games, not just BF4. Today I was playing DR3 and my console suddenly turned off. It was weird but it did turn back on without problem. Im sure MS will patch this in their next update.
