Not sure how multiple xbox ones would work on my gold membership

I've had an Xbox One for a while and I've exclusively bought games via digital distribution. I have and Xbox Live Gold subscription that I renew yearly. My family (Myself, Wife and 2 children) all are on the system under my Gold Membership.. Everything
works - but I've been tempted to upgrade the kids Xbox 360 to an Xbox One. How will the digital downloads I have work? I know I can play my games on multiple systems myself, but if I log in the one in my living room and play Witcher III will my kids be
able to play digital downloads in their room at the same time under the same account?

I'm really up in the air about a second Xbox One. I know steam machines are right around the corner and they have a rather large library there... But it's becoming a constant fight over the xbox one lately. If I have to purchase minecraft for a 4th time
(Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360) - I'm going to give serious reconsideration to digital distribution in the future.

Xbox Silver can play online now?

Unless something changed xbox ones with multiple accounts can share gold. So I have an account v3 on my home xbox that can have gold access due to having gold on the one. Not sure how it works with backwards compatibility.

 

LOCKED - gold membership

I just bought xbox live gold membership on the computer and it seems to not work on my account on my xbox. How long should i wait before it should work, i turned the console off multiple times and signed out of my account. On the marketplace when i go to
my account management it says i have gold membership but the step before that it says free xbox live.



What can i do?

 

You can only have 1 home Xbox per profile. Based on your scenario, you would make the Xbox One in the kids' room your "Home" Xbox and your console in the living room would be like a friend's Xbox. Only you will be able to play everything on the living room
console, but anyone can play those games on the kids' console since it is marked as your "Home" Xbox.

Keep in mind that you do not want to keep changing your "Home" Xbox setting as you can only change it 3 times per year. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. Thanks,

 

Thanks for the response. This is actually perfect then, I can put the new one in the living room with the kinect and put the old one already marked as "home" in their bedroom. I've seen 20 different posts on this with different answers - so this is helpful.
Going to go and buy the new xbox tonight!
