Not showing online despite my settings

I am trying to figure out why no one can see me online. I have my settings set appropriately. I can join party chats with friends (though I show as anonymous in the list of party members) and receive invites or play online with them, I just never show
up as online. I've tried working with the online chat techs ([Mod Removed]), but they weren't able to figure it out and directed me here. If you need any more information, please let me know!

Fable 2 - Not available for download

As of November 30th, still not showing up at all in Ready To Install despite having filled out the online survey on November 14th.

 

friends list problems

no they are actually online. its my boyfriend and his settings are not set to "appear offline". he is actually online but he is not showing up on my friends list as online

Sorry to hear about the issue. Just to be sure, when you're looking at your profile on your Xbox One console, does the text say, "Appear offline" or "Appear online"? Provided it says, "Appear offline" and you haven't yet, let's have you toggle your online/offline
setting. Navigate to your profile on your Xbox One console and change the setting, then back out to save your setting, then

power cycle your Xbox One. If that doesn't work, the next thing I suggest doing is making sure your profile says, "Appear offline" then resetting your

Xbox One Privacy Settings to default. Power cycle again and see if that helps.

If none of that works, the next thing to try is to
factory reset your Xbox One console while keeping your games and apps.

Give all that a try and let us know how it goes.
