    Not saving game data


    Hi my xbox one seems to randomly lose saved data or not save at all. I had a 3 hour binge on marvel superhoes and it saved none of the progress and i completed the halo collection but it still has random levels saying unplayed. Is this hardware or software
    related. I find it odd you cant seem to disable clud saves either as i think this may be part of the problem. Really not impressed with Xbox one in the year i have had it. Also tried registering the console on xbox.com and that doesnt work either. Just rubbish.

    THPS HD lost progression (save game?)

    If you have switched off your xbox while the game was saving data then i am sorry you will not be able to recover it

    Hey rhorse88!

    Bummer to hear that the saves for the game didn't go through. To help narrow this down and make sure this doesn't keep happening we'd like a bit of information on this:

    1. While you were playing, were you connected to Xbox Live or were you playing offline?
    2. If you were connected to Xbox Live, what are you
      Detailed Network Statistics       showing up as on the Xbox One?

    No, redownloading the games will not affect his save data, the save data is saved to the cloud, and is not deleted.

    I’m sorry to hear that.

    This sounds like there is corruption either in the game data or in the save file.

    Do you have a save data file that is older then your current save data?

    You could revert to the other save data to try to minimize loss, however if the save data is corrupted you will unfortunately lose all the save data and your progress.

    A way to test it would be to back up your save data somewhere inaccessible by the game and then try to launch the game with a brand new save.

    If the game works then you know it is corruption in your save data.

    Recovering deleted data

    Games are saved to the cloud if you are connected to the internet.

    If the cloud save wasn't synced, you can't get your save data back.

    Depending on the way you've deleted your game, you also deleted save data..

    You can see if the data is still there when you go to my games and apps and check if the save data is still there.

    Game not saving data

    This was happening to me. What you have to do is save the game and then completely
    exit out. Even if you turn your XBox off and back on the game is still running. You have to press
    [​IMG]
    and
    Quit to close it out. You can then go back in and see your saved game.
