not receiving party/game invites and notifications from anyone.

this issue recently started last night, and ive tried every method (clearing cache, mac address, removing and re-adding my profile, making sure my settings are set to allow everything, nat type being open) and it still been fixed. its impossible to lfg
for destiny 2 and impossible for me to join friend's parties since i dont get any invites from them.

i still get messages and the thing pops up to let me know ive gotten messages, but anything else doesnt pop up for me. the xbox app on my computer still shows the notifications but not on my xbox.

other people seem to be having the same issue, im not sure why xbox hasn't been looking into this because im not the only one being affected by this issue.

Not receiving messages

I am not receiving any messages from friends. Notifications such as party invite or game invite show up, but messages will not. I even went into notifications and seen that messages were on.

 

Party Invites / Game invites

All of a sudden, I am not receiving notification of party / game invites. I am also not being allowed to join friends in game. All was fine yesterday.

Sounds like the console needs a
soft factory reset while keeping games and apps, try that and let us know how it goes!

Is it possible to send out invites instead of just receiving them?

Which console platform is being used? Xbox One or Xbox 360?

If the Xbox one is being used, try the following:
How to reset your Xbox One console to factory defaults using a USB flash drive

and choose the option keep my games and apps. Make sure to know the emails and passwords used with the account.

It seems to me that you may be experiencing network issues from what your saying..

If your NAT type is open, and you know all of your sign in info for the accounts that you have on your console, then I would recommend you doing what we call a soft reset, keeping your games and apps. Follow the steps here

Thank you for bringing this to our attention! Can you confirm that your notifications are turned on?

Please review the Pop up notifications Article for more info.

From my experience, Toggling your privacy settings also helps resolve the issue. On your Xbox,

Change your privacy settings for notifications to "not allow" and then Switch them back to allowed.

Then power cycle your console and let me know the results!

 

i just did the soft reset keeping my games and apps, and the notifications are still not showing up. i can confirm that my pop-up notifications are enabled as i checked the settings, all of them are set to on.

If another profile is signed in, does that profile receive notifications just fine? As XBF Chris J has stated, please check out the

Pop-up notifications on Xbox One for more info and the Xbox One preferences guide for changing notification settings. If the account and/or console was recently enrolled in the preview program these settings may have changed. Let me know if this helps
