Not receiving messages or invites on XBox One when logged into Windows

Please do not ask me to check my network/NAT. That is not the issue.

If I am logged into Windows 10 on my desktop or surface, I do not receive XBox One messages or invites on my Xbox. My children do (so, no it's not a network issue). My desktop/laptop receive the invites and I can join parties on my desktop or laptop (not
games, of course), but I cannot on my XBox One. If I turn off both (log out and/or shut down), I can magically get invites on my XBox One.

This is more than just frustrating. Please fix.

Other Notes:

Receiving messages and invites on my android phone does not seem to affect my ability receive them on my XBox One.

I have the XBox app installed on almost all of my devices.

Not receiving messages

I am not receiving any messages from friends. Notifications such as party invite or game invite show up, but messages will not. I even went into notifications and seen that messages were on.

 

Notifications

I want to start receiving notifications on my Windows computer, but nothing ever shows up when my friends invite me to parties or send me messages, how would I fix this?

 

Update: It looks like rebooting the XBox fixes the issue at least some of the time as well, without needing to log off Windows 10. In short, it seems that the XBox One just stops receiving invites for some unknown reason even though I continue to get them
on my Windows 10 devices and Anrdoid phnoe.

 

Anyone? Rebooting my XBox periodically is not an acceptable solution!

Sorry to hear about the issue with not being able to see any notifications. Let's have you try these steps.

First open the notifications tab on the console and make sure to clear out any notifications you see so we can start fresh.

Then try the following.

1. Turn off all notifications on the Xbox One console.

2. Remove your profile from the console.

3. Power Cycle the Xbox One console.

4. Re-add your profile and turn on notifications, then test to see if the notifications are popping up again.

If that doesn't work, let's try to clear the Alternate MAC and see if that helps.

1. Go to Settings

2. Under Network click on Network Settings

3. Click on Advanced Settings

4. Click on Alternate MAC address

5. Select Clear

Your console will then restart, after the restart go ahead and try to see if it works for you then.
