    Not receiving Gold Rank rewards when I have Gold membership.


    My Xbox rewards VIP rank says I need gold to receive 3% more back on my purchases. This doesn't make since because I am gold. I should be receiving 6% total.

    I have not been receiving any Microsoft rewards for the past three years for renewing my Live Gold membership. Wondering why.

    A False or Righteous Sense of Entitlement? (Games With Gold)

    Honestly, I feel those with PS+ have a right to, after all that service started as just that, you paid to receive a game every month since PS+ wasn't required for online when it was created. Games with Gold was added as a thank you for the Gold members that were required to have that membership and was only meant to last a year, which has obviously been extended past that. So in that sense, I feel that PS+ users are allowed to complain, but Gold members are not because we were paying for this service and are receiving these as rewards. Over all though, it's free shit and no one should be bitching about them. You want a different game, go buy it.

    Since you recently changed your subscription, we have not received your subscription information. It takes us up to 96 hours to receive and process new information. When we receive this information, your account should go back to being listed as Gold, as
    long as it is not a promotional subscription.

    Xbox Live Rewards

    In order to get the credits, your current membership has to expire and the new membership will have to roll through. Then, you will receive the credits.

    From the Rewards Page:

    "Renewing your Gold membership, whether on Xbox One or Xbox 360, is a quick and easy way to earn up to 3,000 Rewards Credits. You'll earn Credits each time you renew your Gold membership, and if you sign up for a 12-month Gold membership, you'll get
    all your Rewards Credits at once. Please note, you will receive your Credits once your current Gold membership ends and your new Gold membership kicks in."

    We see that you were referred August 2nd, and that the Credits for that referral have been pending since September. You can see these pending Credits on your MyRewards page.

    Error in gold status

    Hello DannyWC,

    We see that you are not receiving Gold Status this month due to your subscription being a promotional Gold subscription for 1 month. Promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards, so your free 1 month is not eligible. From our FAQ:

    My Xbox Live Rewards account is not recognizing my Xbox Live Gold membership. What should I do?

    Xbox Live Rewards can only recognize paid monthly or yearly standard, non-promotional Xbox Live Gold memberships. If you have a different type of membership, we may not be able to recognize you as an Xbox Live Rewards Gold member.
