Discus and support Not receiving game/party invites in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Ever since the recent dashboard update I have not been receiving party or game invites.     Not receiving game/party invites


    Ever since the recent dashboard update I have not been receiving party or game invites. I have contacted support multiple times and done every solution I've been given, each multiple times. Those solutions will provide a short term fix but within an hour
    or two it reverts back to not giving me notifications. The solutions I've done are below.

    1. Performed a hard reset to console.

    2. Disconnected my system from internet, then unplugged my system and router for well over 5 minutes, then reconnected everything.

    3. Uninstalled my profile from my system then reinstalled it.

    4. Cleared persistent storage.

    Any and all help will be GREATLY appreciated.

    Hey EternalBlaze90! Are you seeing these issues with one game specifically or all games? What kind of network are you connecting to and whats your NAT type? Post back and let me know!

    The game I've been noticing it on is Destiny as that's the main online game I play. As for my network settings it is set to open on my Xbox and nothing has changed with my wireless settings or router. Connecting to Xfinity wireless internet.

    As of last night around 8:30-9:00 CST it was still having issues with both party chat invites as well as game. I will try again when I get home and post update.

    I am still receiving the same issue. When I do one of the "solutions" I can receive invites for a short time but it stops receiving them shortly after.

    Comcast Xfinity internet

    Router and Modem: Arris TG1682G

    Dual signal: 2.4 and 5.0 Ghz

    My Xbox One, PS4 Pro, and PS3 are the only things connected to the 5.0 Ghz and have been since late last year. Only one runs at a time.

    Hey EternalBlaze90! Your network doesn't look like it should cause any issue. Are you able to try the console on a different network, like a friend's house (especially if you know they receive invites)? Additionally, do other accounts on the console have
    the same issue? Post back and let me know!

    Hey EternalBlaze90! Try making a new account on the console and see if it has the same issue. That would help us find out if it is an issue with the account or the console. Give it a shot and let me know!

    Xbox game invites

    I can join parties and receive party invites just fine. The problem is the game invites. For example, I was trying to play Call of Duty: Warzone through a Looking For Group post. I join the party but then don't receive the game invite and can't invite
    them to my game.

    I have tried cycling the router. I'll check about the moderate open NAT settings. Maybe something I missed. It's weird because it's sort of random. Some days will be fine, and others I won't get messages or invites. Some days I'll get messages but no invites.

    I had this issue a while back and found out my NAT would switch to moderate open quite a bit since my friends had low NAT we had trouble playing together. Try to follow Microsoft guide to opening up your router and also find out what you friends NAT is.
    Have also tried cycling power on the router and modem?

    Hey Fizzy!

    Sorry to hear you're not able to get party/game invites. If you haven't yet, the first thing you'll want to try is to

    power cycle     your Xbox One. This can very often resolve a lot of problems so hopefully that helps. If not, try unplugging your Xbox from your network and then unplugging your network and resetting that as well.

    Let us know if that helps or not. :)
