    Not reading any games


    Every game i put in it comes up with the message saying...... do you own this game? Insert it now. If you purchaced this online make sure you are signed in to xbox live. If you do not have the rights to play it you will need to get it at the xbox store.
    The code is 0x803f8001. I own the games and its doing it with all the games help please.

    Not reading games

    I got my Xbox One as a Christmas gift in 2016. I've now had it for about 7 months and it had no problems until about last week I tried playing Rainbow Six Siege and an error message popped up asking if I owned the game on disc etc. I thought id try another
    game so I tried Call of Duty Black Ops 3 and it still didn't work. I unplugged everything and waited about 30 minutes then plugged it back in and it turned on and it went to my home screen then just froze. It didn't show any games/apps that it usually shows.
    I did a hard reset on my Xbox and everything was fine for a couple of days except the occasional error message of no disc in. I held the power button for 10 seconds and then turned it back on and it would work again. This morning I turned it on and tried about
    5 different disc games and none worked. There's no scratches on the discs or anything. I did another hard reset and it went to my home screen and showed no games/apps again. I unplugged everything and waited again but my Xbox still wouldn't read any games
    at all. I've figured I should call Microsoft but I wanted to know if there was anything else that would help without me having to send my Xbox in for a few weeks. I've read everything and tried everything but nothing has helped.

    If the disc is unreadable due to scratches then there really isn't a thing you can do to make the console read it. I would suggest you check with your local shops and see if any of them offer a disc resurfacing. Game Stop is one
    such place and it usually runs around $3/disc.

    I am having the same issue. Seems like many people are. There seems to be no answer from anyone. Should there be an Xbox recall to get this fixed? Please help because the only answer is to restart and keep trying. This is ridiculous.

    Unable to read ANY game

    First at all, try some standard methods:



    Method 1

    Clearing System Cache



    1. On Xbox Home, go to Settings, then go to System and then select
    Storage.

    2. Press the following key-combinations on your controller: LB RB X LB RB X and then confirm with Yes.

    Your Console will now delete all Updates, then restart and install the main Updates automatically. The game Updates you can install by inserting the game into your Xbox.

    If this doesn't work for you, please move on to the next method.



    Method 2

    Downloading Profile



    1. Sign out of your Xbox Live Profile, then select Downloading Profile.

    2. Enter your E-mail Adress and your Password associated with your
    Xbox Live Profile. If you can't remember them, you can visit
    this page     to recover your details.

    3. You now have to change to set some security features or just skip them and check if the problem is solved by now.



    If not, give me a reply, so we can discuss some other "Possible" solutions.

    You can try to try-out all possible solutions that are been given
    here    .

    Choose your Xbox and then follow them one by one.



    Another thing you can do is to remove your HDD (Hard Drive) and see if that works.

    Here's the tutorial how do you remove your HDD from your Xbox Console.

    Again, choose your Xbox Console and follow the steps.



    Even if that didn't work there's no option left then sending your Xbox Console for repair to the Xbox Repair Centre.

    You can request your repair right here.

    My quess is that the Update damaged somthing in your Xbox that you are now unable to play games.

    I already cleared the cache but it made no difference and my profiles already on the system so is it possible to re-download it? I'll jump on using one of the different profiles now and give it a go
