I'm sorry to see any issues getting online! This error is most commonly associated with not having Gold on your account, or not having a Gold account using Home console as your console. You can check to see if you have Gold by going to the
commerce.microsoft.com site and click on Subscriptions. If you don't see one there, you'll need to purchase Gold in order to get online if someone with Gold is not using Home console on your console.

However, if you see Gold there, then you may want to
contact us via phone or chat to look into any billing or account issues you may have. Let me know how it goes for you!

I ask my cousin who have Xbox ultimate to do Xbox home with me. Then I made his account my home Xbox account but it not letting me play online

Signing in to accounts that you do not own, even if you have permission from the owner, is against the TOS and can lead to permanent enforcement action being taken against the accounts and/or consoles.

Firstly, I would like to know if you are receiving any error messages when you try to play online. If yes, please provide me with the error code so that I can assist you better.



Assuming that you are not receiving any error messages, let's try some basic troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:



1. Check your internet connection: Make sure that your Xbox is connected to the internet and that your internet connection is stable. You can check your internet connection by running a network test on your Xbox. To do this, go to Settings > Network > Network settings > Test network connection.



2. Check your Xbox Live subscription: Make sure that your Xbox Live subscription is active and up-to-date. You can check your subscription status by going to Settings > Account > Subscriptions.



3. Check your account settings: Make sure that your account settings allow you to play online. To do this, go to Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox Live privacy > View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer.
