my Xbox 1 will not let me play online in any game it said I do not have permission to. It started when I got a new Xbox 1. Help!

For the past half an hour I have been resetting and resetting the xbox and it is still saying I cannot go online because of a networking problem but then I when on to settings press network tested it and It said it was fine but it was the xbox messing up.
I have been on the xbox support and they have offed no advice because I was in a line of 6 other people and then it moved me up to 10th in line????

This is rediculas and it needs sorting.

I'm sorry to see any issues getting online! This error is most commonly associated with not having Gold on your account, or not having a Gold account using Home console as your console. You can check to see if you have Gold by going to the
commerce.microsoft.com site and click on Subscriptions. If you don't see one there, you'll need to purchase Gold in order to get online if someone with Gold is not using Home console on your console.

However, if you see Gold there, then you may want to
contact us via phone or chat to look into any billing or account issues you may have. Let me know how it goes for you!

Then sign back in and see if your able to use Xbox Live Gold features.

It sounds like you ended up in a modded game and were de-ranked. As of right now, there is no fix for this. Sorry I don't have better news for you.

Xbox One and Series S consoles are different console generation. So it may work on Xbox One but not on Series S. Mobile data hotspot is not a recommended network connection for gaming since it lacks configuration compared to using modem or router.

The best option we can do here is for you to buy a prepaid modem/router if possible to use for gaming. Alternatively, the solution we could try in your case is to restart your phone where the hotspot is coming from and make sure that only your Series S is connected to it. Let's see if that will work.
