Not letting child play online games mode

one of my child accounts gets an error message saying she needs to change her account settings to play online mode. She it's allowed and I've confirmed this online and on the Xbox one. She can play titanfall online and has not had issues. Minecraft is the
only one with this problem. She can play minecraft online on the 360 no problem. How can I get support for this?

    :)

    Hey Folks,

Just to be clear, are you or your child registered on a child account? Also is it not letting you play in a certain type of mode or just in general not letting them play?

Reach back and let us know what your setup is.

I think I might have this problem too. I haven't tested other games yet like you did to confirm, but will do so and let you know. I have 2 kids, the older one is able to play, the younger isn't, even though the profile settings are set to allow such things.
That same child that can't play the One version is able to play the 360 version just fine...I haven't looked at the settings in their Microsoft account yet either and wonder if those settings are different than the One's and if they override it somehow...

The temporary solution is to just let that child that can't play on their own gamertag on the One, play on someone else's (mine, etc).

This is a bulls*** policy that game companies have implemented to avoid lawsuits from parents too lazy to look after their children. A standard "one-size" fits all policy that's supposed to target the few but punishes the many. Something similar happened
to me. My child wanted to play Need for Speed Rivals online, but since we signed him up with his real birthday it was not possible. Neither Microsoft nor EA could help us out. So, to play online he had to use my account, which of course defeats the purpose
of him having his own account (and me having my own) and circumvents the very thing they're trying to prevent. If I can choose to let my child play any game that I choose by allowing him access to my account, why can't I choose to let him play any online game
using his own account. A simple disclaimer with the need for the parent's password should be more than adequate.

Is your account a child account? If so check the parental settings on your console, some games won't even let you play online with a child account.

I can't seem to let my child play online. I went to settings, but my child account isn't there. My child really wants to play online. Do you need Xbox Live Gold to play online? Can someone please help me?
