not installing any games hard copy or not

Is it a downloaded copy of the game or a hard copy?.

Do you get any kind of error message?.

If its a hard copy have you checked the disc for damage?.

Have you tried installing it to your HDD?.

Check your consoles memory for any corrupt files.

as Jrocker mentioned above any game you owned digitally back on the 360 will transfer over into your games and apps section on the xbox one in the READY TO INSTALL SECTION

and with hard copies of games you'll need to install like any xbox one game.

No matter what games need large updates these days. I’m afraid you’re going to have to download large files, Due to a variety of reasons, you’re just not going to find a complete modern AAA game on a disc. Many titles including It takes 2 and Call of duty shipped with little more than a loader on the disc.

Your disc acts as a key that allows you to download the Series version, same as 360 games do

Fans of hard copies. Of which I am included, should be asking for “complete” versions several years down the line where a standalone, feature complete and stable build can be provided. If you’re buying day one, it’s just not going to be complete. Yes I know it used to be that way, and I’m happy to elaborate on as many things as I’m able to to explain why

Not sure if you fixed it already but I was having the same problem. However it was with Samurai Showdown. I have the Xbox version but of course the beautiful free upgrade that comes with it is necessary these days. I put the game in and was asked about the upgrade, said yes and bam. Installation stopped. So what I found that helped me is this. Not sure if you have an external hard drive but this is what I did.

I put my external hard drive as the default because of the amount of xbox games I have that aren't capable with the series x upgrade. Uninstall the game and put the disk in and reinstall it onto your external hard drive. if it asks, say yes to the upgrade, it will then ask if you would like to put the game on the internal storage so that it works better. Put install onto the external hard drive anyways. It will then start installing. Once finished, go to your external hard drive and move it into the internal hard drive and now let that beautiful upgrade happen. Now you have your game installed and your upgrade happening as well. HAPPY GAMING!

Remove the disc from the console, do these 2 steps below, and try again, please.

Step 1: Clear the storage cache on your console.

Press the Menu key on your controller.
Click Settings, devices & streaming, and then go Blu-Ray.
Select Persistent Storage.
Click Clear Persistent Storage 3 times

Step 2: Power cycle your console.

Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console until it shuts down completely.
Unplug the console's power cable, wait 10 seconds. Be sure to wait 10 seconds, this step resets the power supply. 
Plug the console power cable back in, turn on your Xbox.

When you turn off your console, remove your external hard drive and try to install the game without the external hard drive connected to the console.
