Not having control over my Microsoft, Xbox, and Minecraft account due to family setting I...

have you downloaded the xbox family settings app? it took me 3 apps to finally get it fixed, the switch parental controlls, the microsoft family safety and the xbox family app. it was the xbox app that let me connect my daughters account so she could play minecraft online with friends

"You need an alternate Microsoft account and download the Xbox Family App on your phone. Add the main account as a family member and make the alternate account the organizer. Sign in as the organizer on the Xbox Family App and change the settings there. You should be able to see the settings to let your account play multiplayer in Minecraft. After you change the settings, sign out and sign into the Minecraft launcher after 5-10 minutes to let Microsoft catch up to fixing the account."

I cannot verify though, because I joined and left so many family groups in the past while trying to solve this issue I cannot join any now, receiving errors. I believe multiplayer Minecraft is over for me. But you can try it.

Edit (2021/10/29): I retried and managed to access the settings in the mobile app since my self-diagnosed blockage due to joining and leaving many family groups has timed out now. Then I ran into the same problem with the others described in the comments below. Lowering the age of my main account to 10 and changing settings over and over did not work.

Edit (2021/10/30): I finally solved it. Simply retried changing the settings on the website using the parent account. The error was gone and I could turn on all privacy settings.

If you sign in to https://family.microsoft.com, you do not see any other family member? Your account profile is the only one that shows up?

Also, may I know if your mom still have her Microsoft account?

We have recovered the Microsoft account but we cant login to the Xbox live account from the Microsoft account since the hacking. If we try to login to Xbox live from the Minecraft window, it gives us an error code, and if we try to login through the Microsoft email account then it tells us this,

'Why can’t I change my privacy settings?

This is likely due to two reasons:

• You’re using a child account that’s a member of an Xbox family group
  
• You’re using an adult account that’s set as a member of an Xbox family group'
  

to answer your question simply, we cannot log in to the minecraft account.

Thank you so much for your swift response. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. I've Set all the settings to "Friends" except for Video calling. I have restarted the device and still Minecraft says "Due to the setting in your Microsoft account you cannot play Realms..." (translated from German).
I do not see any setting on that page or in any of the adjacent named "Multiplayer". On the help page (https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us...ealms-Multiplayer-Access-for-a-Child-Account) it says:

"If a member of your family group wants to play multiplayer features in Minecraft, such as Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Realms, an organizer can adjust these settings by using the Xbox Family Settings app."

This app is available on Playstore, but not for my Samsung tablet.
