Not getting party/game invites

it doesn't matter what Xbox I use I'm not receiving party/game invites, text messages do work on my account only. When I switch to my sons account and sign off of mine everything works fine on his, I switch back to mine and the problem continues

Parties, chats and game invites

I don't see anything good about this system whatsoever. Whats wrong with just keeping everyone in the same party no matter what game you put in.
I still can't get it to work and my friends nat type is open and ive turned on party chat.
I take it if I turn on party chat then he doesn't have to? Not that he can anyway.

Well it is also happening to my friends online. The invites are going through the app and not the Xbox itself. Some people on Twitter has also reported it to the support account

I have. It continues to do the same thing, nothing shows up on the Xbox but it'll show up for my phone/computer

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

As of the moment, there are no reported issues yet in regard to party/game invites which means that we mya just need to perform troubleshooting steps.

Please perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

" 1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state."
