Not getting notifications when someone on Xbox 360 messages me

I could have sworn this use to work before. I get a notification if it's someone on Xbox One messages me, but if someone sends me a message from their Xbox 360, I don't get the notification popping up. I see that I have 1 unread message, but no notification.

Anyone else having this problem?

Notifications Problems..

I am having a similar problem. My Xbox Live is no longer telling me when people sign on. I get notifications when someone sends me a message but specifically when someone signs online, no notification will come up.

I suggest giving these troubleshooting steps a try:

• Uncheck the "Show Notifications" option (Settings > Preferences > Notifications).
  
• Restart your Xbox 360 console.
• Have someone send another message to you while you are using Netflix.
  

Also, when you're choosing to show your notifications or not, make sure when you check or uncheck the box that you also press the B (back) button to confirm your changes. Sometimes when you're still in that menu to choose your preferences on notifications,
message notifications follow what was previously chosen and saved.

I'm getting the same thing. If someone who has xbox one messages me it pops up but if someone on 360 messages me it not pop up I have to go to messages to see if I have received one. This is the same for friends online. I'm not to bothered about that but
the messages needs to be fixed and fast

 

Im also not getting notifications when my friend messages me from his 360 to my Xbox 1.

Also not getting message notifications. Is there a setting that needs to be changed or is this a bug?

 

Having the same problem and it's infuriating! I'm missing games because I'm not getting the message notifications. I checked and my console has notifications turned on... but I'm not getting them.
