Not finding the new Xbox Forums very helpful

As part of the Xbox Insiders program, I was directed to this site to test out the new forums. Well, I'm here, and I'm trying to do what the insider hub has asked but I'm not finding this very full of interesting or even relevant content. Most of the forums
appear locked, I can't find the "upvote" option and I don't see myself coming back here...ever. Not with the current offering.

It also asked that I create a thread so this is fulfilling that requirement. I'm interested to see if anyone else gets the same impression...

Dark souls 1 code incomplete

I just got my physical copy tonight from GameStop and my code was incomplete as well. 22/25 Characters so this may not be just an isolated misprint. Unfortunately, googling wasn't very helpful in finding answers. I'm thankful to have thought of checking
the forums though for this issue.

Almost 5 full pages of info, which may be helpful to someone, that is locked and pinned to the top of the forum. It is only bound to get worse over time. The forum needs a condensed / collapsible section (like the FEATURED section is now) for this info. Ot
heck.....just make a separate section about routers as that seems to be what most of it is.

I'm not a fan of the up vote / down vote (Reddit) style of forum either. Why not have a new post at the top... it slowly and naturally gets bumped down by new posts / new replies, but when someone posts to a thread it it gets bumped back to the top. Also allow
users to add topics to a favorites list of their own.

As it is...it's 5 pages of router info and the rest is people in a panic because Bingo isn't working. Looking many pages deep and it's a ton of topics with maybe one unresolved comment on it and then it's forgotten / buried forever.

I don't really remember the specifics of the old forum, but I do remember them being better. Sometimes it is better to leave well enough alone. Constant new and change is not always a good thing.

 

Use the "Category" drop down at the top of the forum to narrow it down to specific sections of the forums. Otherwise all of the pins are a cumulative collection from all of the sections. So once you're in a specific category you'll have far less, if any,
to go through.

 

Agreed. Guess the easiest way to sum it up is it feels rather clunky to use.
