Not eligible for Gamescore Promotional Discount even though I qualify

I was directed here from a chatroom chat with a Microsoft rep. I recently tried to redeem that gamerscore discount from
http://www.xbox.com/en-ca/gamerscore and it says I'm not eligible even though I qualify for all the conditions. I was told you guys can help me. Note I posted this on May 30th, before the
promo is finish.

Didnt receive promotion

In order to qualify for promotional offers, you have to purchase the gold directly through the offer. Redeeming a code does not qualify as a purchase. So since you redeemed a code you would not have been eligible.

Do I get Xbox live rewards points if I already owned the current promotioned games?

An item is only eligible if purchased during the promotional period. If you owned those items before the mission started they would not qualify and you would still have to spend the $59.99USD to meet the minimum requirements.

Hey everyone,

Specifically for the Forza Horizon 2 promotion, could each of you post the discount voucher you were provided that you passed off to a friend? In order to qualify, your friend would have had to use the voucher code that was provided.

Once we get that discount voucher code, we can take a further look to confirm eligibility.

For any promotions on Live, you have to make the purchase through Live in order to qualify. Redeeming a prepaid code does not qualify as a purchase so it is not eligible.

Also I would make sure you were eligible for the promotion. It's for new accounts or accounts with no history of Xbox Live from a certain date. I would check the fine print to make sure you even qualified.
