    Not detecting post code during set up


    I am unable to have Xbox recognise free to air tv. I've checked and the signal is fine by plugging the lead directly into the tv. During the set up, my post code was not recognised. I tried using various other post codes and nothing was recognised either...
    anyway I can't get it to work and nothing I've tried is helping. Also, did a hard reset and no dice.

    Its there but it isn't

    To clarify, did you previously set up a cable box with your Xbox One? I was under the impression your Xbox One was not detecting your TV.

    thanks, stud! it seems there is an issue with it getting a good handshake. i'm going to try to talk to comcast tomorrow and see if i can get a new stb.

    This is pure TV IR code-set. If you set it up via 'detect it' option try 'enter it' option, or vice versa. If that does not work please post the model number of the LG TV. -Cheers

    In my set up of one guide, the Xbox auto detected the set top box and TV and automatically inputted the remote codes, so yes. Is that what you are asking?

    It's all down to the way you render the video and compression settings. YouTube can detect issues like that when you upload, they'll display a warning message during upload.
