    I am beyond frustrated here. I have spent the last hour and half working on this issue.



    I am trying to download a Free Xbox 360 Gold game from the website and on the confirm purchase page it says.



    "You have no valid payment options on file."



    When I click on this it asks me to enter my billing address but it has locked the Country to the United States. I live in Canada and have bought several games and My Live Subscription on my Xbox One and Microsoft account (Like Office 365).



    Why is it not detecting my billing information on the Xbox Live website? How do I fix this?



    I also can’t ask Xbox live chat support questions because even though I am logged in it doesn’t detect my First and Last Name and First and Last name are required and since I can’t edit those fields I can’t go any further.



    How do I contact someone at Xbox to fix this?

    How to Change your Xbox LIVE account information

    Overview

    It is possible to change information associated with your Xbox LIVE account like your name, address, phone number or email address.

    Note: You cannot change the country that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account. If you have moved to another country and you would like to access Xbox LIVE from there, you have to create a new Xbox LIVE account in your new location.

    How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on Xbox.com

    1) Go to My Account and Sign In with your Microsoft Account. (This is the email and password that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account).

    2) Make the changes you want to your billings account information and then click Save.

    How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on your console.

    1) Sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

    2) Proceed to Settings, and then select Account.

    3) Select Your Information, and then go to Billing Information.

    4) Sign In with your Microsoft account password.

    5) Change your billing account information and then click Done.

    I finally found the Xbox One customer support number and called. Apparently this is a known problem that started this morning which they are now trying to fix.

    Has anyone else run into this issue?

  5. Hey, JesterlVlagic! Have you tried another browser? If you are using Chrome, it defaults to US instead of the region that your account is set to. Once you have it set to the correct locale, you should be able to add a credit/debit card then. Let me know
    if that works for you!

  6. I have tried it on Edge and Firefox and the same thing happens. The thing is I already have a credit card setup on my Microsoft Account. I bought Toy Soldiers about 2 weeks ago on My Xbox One.

    When I visit the Microsoft Account from the Xbox.com menu it brings up the account with my latest purchases.

    On Xbox.com itself in the top right corner it has my Avatar, My real Name, email address and Gamer Tag.

    The problem is when I try to download an Xbox 360 game (the free gold one) that it tells me I don't have a valid payment option on file. It that tells me to enter the BIlling Contact information and only has United States as the Country. I haven't tried
    to enter an address as it would be incorrect and I don't want to mess things up. Plus all this information is available already on accounts.microsoft.com.

    I also can't contact online chat support as it requires a first and last name which for some reason is not displayed when I click on the contact link. Only my email address is included but when I hit submit it complains about the empty name which I can't
    manually enter since the fields are disabled.

    When I am in the store my url is the Canadian Store:

    marketplace.xbox.com/.../Supreme-Commander-2.......

    On the Billing Contact Page it switches to the US store it seems:

    live.xbox.com/.../BillingAccountInformation............

    Not that I should need to enter billing contact information since I already have a valid one.

  9. I actually did talk to someone today. We confirmed that my Xbox one region is Canada an that my credit card setup under accounts.microsoft.com has my correct Canadian address and that the market is set to Canada.

    He said other problems like this have been reported but it not sure what is going on as the Xbox Core services status is good.

    He did say I should migrate my Xbox account to the US and then back to Canada but after reading up on account migration it says you can only do that once every 3 months. Plus I don't want to wreck my other subscriptions which are tied to my Microsoft account
    (like my office subscription)

    Does anyone have any solutions I really would like to be able to download Supreme Commander 2.

    Customer Support did say an app was on the way for the Xbox 1 to allow you to get 360 games right from your console but he didn't know when it would be released.

  10. On the Xbox.com store it looks like my problem is associated only with Xbox 360 games. With Xbox One games it finds my payment information fine.

    commerce.microsoft.com, what is the region is says at the top left under the menu options?

    So phone support hasn't really been much help. They tried but none of their suggestions worked. They said they would get back to me on a fix but I have a feeling they are just trying to brush me off now.

    Is there anyway I can get a download code for Supreme Commander 2 that I can use on my Xbox One since I am not able to download the free version with my Gold Account? There is only about 10 more days before it is taken off.

  14. Well initially I though Xbox support was pretty good. Sure things will go wrong but I expected this problem to eventually be resolved or at least help me by providing the software another way.

    I have emailed and called Xbox support several times now about a fix or at least provide me a Xbox One download code so I can get the game (which I have paid for through my Live subscription) while they work on the actual problem.

    I have had no response. Nothing about being sorry for the issue. Here use this code instead to get the game or here is a free month for your Live subscription since we haven't been able to solve it yet.

    I am a software developer so I understand how complex these systems are but I expect customer service to at least find another way to satisfy a paying customer if things don't work out. Especially since that paying customer has spent several hours with support
    to try and figure out the problem. Heck with my time wasted along with Microsoft support I could have bought the game within the first half hour for $30 and been much farther ahead when compared to what I charge per hour. (along with what it costs MS for

    To check, when you're visiting the page for the game and it shows en-US, if you scroll to the bottom and click 'English (United States)' and change your region to Canada, does that allow you to complete the purchase?

    I definitely understand the frustrations with this and want to help you get to the bottom of it.
