not connecting to manual or automatic IP address

Hey all, I'm coming here as a kind of last resort. I don't know a whole lot about this stuff so please don't go off on "use the search function", or "that's simple figure it out yourself" ****. I've never had to deal with this kind of tech issue, I'm not
a tech guy.

Long story short, I sent my Xbox One off for a wireless adapter repair a couple months ago. I had diagnosed it with a Xbox phone tech about 1.5 years ago (at the time I was able to run a wired connection so I didn't get it fixed). I moved to a place I couldnt
run a wired connection so I sent it off to get it fixed. At the new place I got a new router and a new ISP so when I got the Xbox back, it had never been run on that router with that ISP (it ran on this ISP a few years prior but with an Apple router and before
the wireless adapter went out, worked fine).

Once I got the console back I was able to connect to the network, but unable to connect to Xbox Live. Every time I try it it says "cannot connect to IP address". I've gone through probably 6ish hours of troubleshooting with both Xbox and Linksys (the manuf
of my router). I have Linksys SmartWifi with them so I'm able to change every setting under the sun with my router. MAC filtering, port forwarding, IP address changing, ect. No such luck on any of it. Nothing ever changed. Mind you my phone, Mac, iPad, Fire
TV Stick, Xbox 360 and smart TV all work flawlessly.

So today I decided to try Xbox yet again. The guy I was on the phone with essentially told me he thinks my upload and download speeds are being reduced by my ISP, therefore making it difficult for my Xbox to get an IP address. He said I should run a number
of speed tests and if it's not testing within 10% of what I pay for consistently, that's the issue. So I ran the tests and they are as follows from 2 different sources with a minute or two in between. (I pay for 50 down and 10 up.)

With only my laptop connected:

Can anyone advise me if I'm being led a line of BS by either Xbox or my ISP? Because frankly I'm at a loss, and ready to sell my Xbox and get out of it completely, or shoot it with my .45, one of the two.

Port Forwarding

under private IP. I got that from the xbox network settings menu. Then went to advanced settings and got the address there. Will this IP address change? It is set on automatic? Or what do I put in for the manual settings?

That explanation from Xbox sounds like complete bollocks.


What is the exact message? Does it mention automatic IP address because then that could be the problem and you need to set a manual IP from your router.

 

Does the xbox show that it is connected to the router, in network setting does it show connected and show ipv4 or ipv6 etc, if the xbox is connecting to the router fine then it could be your isp, but with those speeds i can't see any issues.

is there anyway to try a wired connection again as there could still be an issue with your wireless which might not have been fully fixed when you sent it in. try power lan plugs if you cant get a cable to reach.

Another one to check is how far away from the router your xbox is and to see if you can run a speed test or not.

 

If possible I would suggest you try taking your console to a friends place to see if you are able to connect to there internet connection using Wifi without issue to hopefully eliminate the console as the cause of this.
