Not connected to the Internet

Hi, looking for help. Sons xbox one fails to remember the Internet over the last few weeks. Never had a problem before, then all of a sudden it wants SSID number. Have unplugged router, waited 10 mins then plugged back in, still not responding. Any advice
please

Hey there Snake Trail1138,

Sorry to hear about the issues connecting in the Xbox App. Let's try a few things here.

1. Make sure you're connected to a network and that you can access the Internet. To test your connection, go to Bing.com in your PC's browser.

2. Sign in at Xbox.com and ensure that your account is in good standing.

3. Check your PC's clock. The clock must match the Xbox Live servers for sign-in to be completed. Your date and time settings for Set time automatically must be set to On.

4. As a final step, try removing the Microsoft account by going to Settings, selecting Accounts, and then selecting remove next to the account. Then re-add the account from the account picker when you sign in to the Xbox app.

Not Connected to the Internet.

I've been having problems with the Xbox app for the last 4-5 days. I try to sign in and the app tells me that I'm not connected to the internet, dispite the fact that I was at the time. I've attempted a log in about 20-30 times within the last few days and
it gives me the same message every single time: "You're not connected to the internet" I have double checked my internet connection time and time again, and everything is properly connected and I'm able to browse the internet, but I simply cannot get the Xbox
app to work.

First thing I'd recommend checking is the power settings, try changing the power settings and seeing if that helps. If that doesn't work there are a few things I'd recommend, such a s a full power cycle by pressing the Xbox button on the console for 10
seconds until it's fully powered off, then unplug the power supply from the back and let it sit for a few minutes, then plug it back in and power it back on.

From there, if you're still having issues, I'd recommend trying to set a static IP address for the Xbox in your router, as it might be having DHCP issues.

Just to cover some, have you tried...

1. Enable upnp on the network

2. Using a different ethernet cable

3. if network does not support upnp try opening ports manually ->
support.xbox.com/.../network-ports-used-xbox-live

4. Restore factory defaults to your consoles network settings

If none of these work please give more details and I will try to help you.

Since this issue is related to the school network, you would have to contact your school's I.T department. There is very little we can diagnose this end. I highly doubt the issue is with your console. Even if you did have to send it for a repair, I can
guarantee you, they will send you your limited edition back.

Oh god no. The government tends to destroy what they regulate. And it wouldn't actually be "free", as someone has to pay for server upkeep, infastructure, etc. "Free" internet for everyone would lead to higher taxation.

them regulating your internet provider too? Didn't think so.
