    Not being able to sign into account in online mode but in offline mode I can sign in


    Okay so when I try to sign into my xbox account it will not let me sign in with a pop up saying "there was a problem" with the error code 0xCFFFF82B but when I try signing into my account in offline mode it lets me use my account but when I go back into
    online mode it would sign me out and when I try to sign in again the "there was a problem" error would pop up, again and again, can anyone help me with this?

    Not true. Many games won't let you play the single player (offline) mode without signing in to your Xbox Live account (ie. going online), such as NBA 2k15 and many others.

    PS there's nothing wrong with my internet I just changed it last week

    Everyone go to offline mode when prompted then wait 5 to 10 mins and then sign back on through online mode and sign back in. It worked for me

    You can play GTA 5 offline but you can only play story mode or single player mode not online. You will get the same things without being online in story mode but you will not be able to play online
    or use any of the options that are under the Online tab in the pause menu

    Hello Conor.

    From the sound of things it could be that your sons account when put onto the console or created was set up with sign in preferences that could stop you from being signed in while offline. You can go to your settings and select the Account tab while the
    console is connected to the internet then select where it says sign in security and passkey. Once there press "A" on the tab that says "Change my sign-in & security preferences" and set it to no barriers. Once that is done he should be able to remain signed
    in in offline mode.

    Let us know with a reply how it goes.

    Playing games offline.

    You can sign in in offline mode too without internet and live connection. You account must be set as Home. Not all games works in offline mode. Can you tell what a game you tried to run?
