not being able to download a xbox live account from my xbox one onto my xbox 360

hi everyone

I created a xbox live profile on my xbox one, but I don't have it on my xbox 360, so in order for me to play the backwards compatiable games I need to download my xbox one profile onto my xbox 360, but when I try to download the account, even when I put
in the right information, it says, "sorry there's a problem with the credentials that you're using to sign in. go to https://account.live.com to fix the problem. 801540A9"

if anyone has any information regarding this issue, it would be greatly appreciated, as I am trying to enjoy playing some older xbox 360 call of duty games

Make sure your password is not longer than 16 characters the password box on the 360s including the emulators on the Ones are only accept 16 characters so if your password is longer than that it will stop at the 16th character and give you that error because
the password doesn't match.

I just tried uninstalling, and the same issue is occurring, I think the way to fix this problem is to download the account onto the Xbox 360, but I get the same problem when I try to download my profile onto my Xbox 360

Thanks for trying to help out unfortunately when I went into the settings it was already added, also I think I forgot to mention, but the code 801540A9 showed up when I tried to download the account to my Xbox 360, as well as when I tried to play Xbox
360 games that I have, while playing on Xbox one, if you want, I can upload pictures if that will help out

801540A9 occurs when you try to download a game to Xbox One I recommend checking out if you haven't already.

When you get the chance, give that a shot and let us know if that helped.

Do you use two factor authentication? It's possible that the 360 needs to use an App password, which is going to be different from your account password.
