    Not Being Able to Connect Via Hard Wired


    So I have a weird issue. If I connect my xbox to this one ethernet port in the wall my xbox connects. But when I plug in the ethernet cord to the ethernet port next to the xbox it will not connect. At first I thought maybe the port didn't work so I hard
    wired my laptop and it could connect to the internet no problem. The cable is brand new and it works with the one port for the xbox but not the other, so I know its not a bad connection on the cord or port in the xbox. Not really sure what to do, any ideas
    on how to fix this?

    are you connected to Live via wifi or are you hard wired?

    I live in an apartment building that has free WiFi for it residence. When I used to play my Xbox I would connect to the Community free WiFi(apartment building free WiFi) with no issues ,now I'm no longer able to connect via WiFi ,I must now connect via hard
    wired in our build community TV room( that where the Comcast WiFi, cable box and AP is located). I hard wired into one of the 4 ports in back of the WiFi device but it doesn't work. SO I'm thinking it maybe my Xbox One console

    Have you tried connecting the controller via USB cable, and then setting up Copilot?

    Does it work with a wired connection?
    Yes it works wired. Being in a wheelchair wires make it hard to move around.

    Being disconnected.

    It sounds like its possible interference issue with the signal coming to the Xbox from the router, but without being able to test the connection via a wired connection makes a bit hard to determine if its the signal or possibly and issue with the wireless
    adapter in the Xbox itself.

    Are you connecting to your girlfriend's internet via Wi-fi? If you are, try doing it with a hard wired connection.

    I would try a hard reset (power cycle), hold power for 10 seconds while the system is on, then restart it. I would also power cycle your router. If neither of those work, try connecting via a wired connection and perform the hard reset. Once it connects,
    switch back to your wireless. Sometime connecting via wired and switching back fixes the issue.
