    Not being able to buy Gold with the money in my account.


    To whom it may concern,

    I went out to buy some currency for Xbox Live, to buy a game that is currently on sale and to buy 12 months of Xbox Live Gold subscription.

    I am slightly annoyed that I cannot buy Xbox Live Gold membership with the currency in my account. I am sure I am not the only one who sees this as a issue, would it be possible for the subscription to be bought via our account's currency in a future update?

    Account Suspension

    I logged on this morning and noticed my account was suspended because payment issues. I use a debit card to pay for my Xbox membership and I do understand why I am suspended, because there WAS no money in my account. I have recently put some money into my
    account to be able to continue a membership, but I'm confused.



    I sign in to my suspended account, and my account shows my profile still being gold but not being able to access online services such as multiplayer games. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. I have money in my account, does Xbox just continue to take
    from it as of now knowing I have money? Or do I buy a membership online?

    You'll want to head over to Xbox Ideas, powered by UserVoice and vote on the idea (it has been brought up several times). There's no official word on if/when that feature will be implemented.

    Usually, you can't buy subscriptions like Game Pass or Xbox Live Gold with credit on your account from gift cards, as that money is a limited amount of money, and a subscription will continuously deduct money from that limited amount.

    However, some people were able to redeem a Gold membership with their account money a few months ago, but there was no official word on that being possible now, so it might have been an error or a test.

    You should therefore
    contact the official support    , to ask if it is possible to buy the Game Pass with your gift card credits on your account.

    Hey Grey,

    First of all, Please don't share personal information like GT's and email addresses over the forums.

    That being said, there is no way to buy gold from the console with money on your account. You'll have to buy gold directly from your Paypal account or with a Credit card which has to be linked to your Xbox Live Account.

    What's the Best Way to Have Xbox Live Gold on 3-4 Xboxes??

    Would you agree with me that it seems...wrong? It seems as if I'm being "punished" for spending more money with MS by spending...more money. So I buy four consoles and, as a result, have to purchase two Gold accounts. Seems odd.
