Not auto-switching to HDMI input source

TV is configured, all the stuff works (tests for mute, info). When configured, it turn on the TV correctly, but it doesn't switch to the console HDMI input source. In fact, if I switch manually, and then turn on the console, it return to TV source.

So I think it only sends the HDMI-CEC command for turn on TV, but not for switch input source. So if I am on console HDMI input source, it sends the turn on command, so the TV goes to the default source, the TV.

Please fix it. For media remote it would be good the auto-switching source feature, if not we need the TV remote for switching the input source.

Switch DVR input when Xbox One is turned on

I think that is an hdmi cec thing and should be a setting within your avr to sense the signal is in use and performs the auto switching of your input.

 

Monitor with Multiple Devices connected.

I can switch my inputs, but upon switching to my Xbox HDMI source, the Xbox reboots.

Upon further research, it looks like my AV dongle is the issue, supposedly it'll only work using the Official Xbox AV Dongle, and not my Turtle Beach.

 

My TV automatically starts up on the last channel/input it was set at. Do you think there might be a possibility that someone else in the house is turning the channel on you or that you may be turning the channel and forgetting about it?

 

Mine too in all cases but this one, X1 sends turn on command (black fast switch like when you switch source) and then it goes to TV that is the default source. If I turn on the TV using its own remote, it uses the last source. If I turn on the blu-ray player
it switch to its HDMI input source.

It is the X1 the one not switching to its source and the only one that switchs to TV source if I set the "Turn on TV" HDMI in console options.

 

The Xbox One doesn't use HDMI-CEC. Everything simply uses infrared commands. So it's not going to automatically switch inputs to the right one. I suppose it could switch an input if the TV is already on and the code to power on the TV changes the input
if the TV is already on.

OK, it's that. Each TV has its own source selector method so using IR commands is not possible, as you said.

It would be a nice feature because the media remote and set aside the TV remote.

I had the same problem. Xbox doesn't change Tv Input when turn it on. The little chromecast dit it! So it's time to have an red phone call between xbox and google!
