Not allowed to play on XBOX LIve

Hello,

I am trying to play online on Xbox Live on for example FIFA 17 and Call Of Duty Black Ops on Xbox One however I am getting the below errors:

COD Black ops: "The current profile is not allowed to play on Xbox live"

FIFA 17: "You have lost connection to the EA servers. You will be unable to access any online features until you sign in"

I have researched into the COD error message and it said this indicates my xbox live subscription has expired, however it hasnt. I got the advice from here: https://support.activision.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/Notice-the-current-profile-is-not-allowed-to-play-...

I have a confirmation email from xbox live confirming my activation of my 12 month xbox live subscription was done on 16th October 2016, so this should not have expired yet.

Could someone please help me?

I tried to play COD W.A.W on live yesterday and i got an error message saying "player not allowed to play on xbox live"

You are currently showing as a Silver member. You will need to purchase a Gold membership in order to take advantage of any online features.

Hey there MiniC00psSports,

Are you seeing issues in other games as well or just in these two? It's possible there could be a connection issue with FIFA 17, but for Black Ops this might be game specific.

Run a Detailed Network Statistics test on the Xbox One console and please provide the following information.

Download Speed

Upload Speed

Latency

Packet Loss %

Wireless Strength (if applicable)

In general, Smwutches is right, paid Gold membership is required to play online multiplayer. Exceptions include promo periods (free Xbox LIVE Gold weekends), trial cards (I've never seen any above 48 hrs), the free month trial for setting up a LIVE account
for the first time, and perhaps this situation...

IF you set up a LIVE account (without paying for membership) for the first time a month ago and you weren't using a trial card , then you were probably under the free month trial of Gold membership. All profiles get this free month for setting up LIVE for
the first time. Although, I think your status would've shown as Gold until it ended...

If, however, as I suspect, you've already used up that free month for setting up a LIVE account, weren't using any trial cards and thus your LIVE status is Free/Silver, then check out the following thread for others who experienced the same thing. Unfortunately
no one seems to know why it happened. Perhaps it was a glitch or a quiet/secret promo?

My account always showed silver. It never did show gold. I was just on it today and this has happened before, just no this long.

Do you currently have an active gold subscription? Do you owe any gold subscriptions that was on a reoccurring monthly payment?? Were you banned due to any behavior?
