Not all captures showing up on app

Hi there,

I have recently discovered that not all of my game captures are syncing with the Xbox app, I have checked the DVR website and everything seems to be good there, however my earlier captures aren't showing
up on either the phone or computer app. Is there any way I can fix this or is this how it is meant to be? My storage seems fine and I'm able to keep making captures and they automatically upload and show up on the apps, it seems to just be my previous clips
and screenshots. I have moved on to another Xbox, but haven't changed account, so would it possibly be that this is the problem. if so is there anyway I can fix it? Thanks

If you delete some of your older captures do you still see this happen? Also, have you been able to check on xbox.com or the mobile Xbox App to see if the captures are there or are just showing up late?

Captures Created on PC not showing up in iOS XBOX app

I created and uploaded captures 3 hours ago and they still have not shown up in the iOS app. I've restarted that app several times and rebooted my phone. Still nothing.

iPhone 6S, iOS 10.2

 

Hey Andy!

If you have changed console's since those clips were made its possible that they were never successfully uploaded to Xbox Live and that is why you wouldn't be able to see them from the PC App or mobile App. They would have been stored locally on the original
console that they were created from.

removing and re-adding the profile to the app, maybe the issue is on the profile and by doing so it will resync. Give it a shot and let us know if can further assist with this or any other issues!

 

Ok thanks. Is there anyway I can still upload them? Some of the captures from the previous Xbox are showing up so would this still be a problem and it was just certain clips and screenshots or would there be another reason?

Has it been
attempted on a console? If they are gone from the console then its going to be like XBF George said and they might have never fully been updated to our servers.

 

The captures are all showing up on the Xbox itself as well as the DVR website, it seems to just be the apps, so is it possibly a syncing problem with the app rather than the uploading to xbox live aspect? Thanks again

I'd be happy to provide some input.

Just to make sure, I would suggest you launch the Upload Studio app to confirm those clips were successfully uploaded to Xbox Live. This article

here explains how to do that.

This link will also help:

You'll be able to see the clips you made on the old Xbox that were uploaded to Xbox Live since you are using the same account that made the clips originally.

Once you confirm that the clips in question have been uploaded to Xbox Live, then it may be due to the clips not synchronizing to the app as you mentioned.

A
powercycle on the console may help to re-sync your Xbox, and the clips that are on the Xbox, to the Xbox Live Servers.

I've made sure on the original console and everything seems to be there, including the captures I have been recording recently. If i do a full power cycle on the Xbox would I need to change the app on anyway or just refresh the app after a little while.

Thanks for reaching out!

Once the
powercycle is performed on the console, there would be no need to change the app. It will close out the apps and such when the console
restarts. It is basically just turning off then back on. With Instant on mode, the console never fully shuts down and that is what the power cycle is doing. It is refreshing the console. Information will not be lost by doing this.
