    Not accepting card


    Hiya the card I'm using is never accepted on Microsoft ut works everywhere else the address and everything is all correct and I have the funds for what I want to purchase it always comes up with an error and tells me to try a different payment method I have deleted and reentered the details 100s of times still to no success any help asap would be appreciated ad I'm trying to purchase a game in the sales

    Hello Gosheku! I'm Claus, an Independent Microsoft Community Consultant for Xbox! Glad to be able to help you!

    Given that Microsoft tests your card when you add it to your account, and this process is apparently failing on your end, I'd recommend that you check if your card is from a well-known brand (MasterCard or VISA), and that your bank is allowing international billing, as well as not blocking Microsoft from trying to charge you. To check the two last, you would need to contact your bank.

    DIscover card acceptance

    So that's interesting. Xbox website and my Windows Phone actually both take Discover just fine for purchases. It is only purchases through my Xbox One where it gets rejected. Any ideas?

    All to my knowledge you can not add a Debit Crad you can only use a Credit Card. When you try adding the debit card to the account and you are getting the error message BC the system only takes credit cards

    I'm new to xbox, and have never, repeat never, had so much difficulty trying to pay online in my life.

    After registering my debit card, and then trying to pay, I get a 'can't authorise' message. So far 4 calls to support and about 4 mails have not resolved the issue. It seems that the Microsoft system asked me once for an email address, and then used it as
    both my login name as well as my contact mail; this caused a self imposed Microsoft security issue that Microsoft have, so far, not been able to fix. My bank tell me that at last count Microsoft had taken £6 in 'test' payments that have NOT been refunded to
    my account!!!!!!(that's 6 exclamation marks)

    I am far from happy. I wish I'd tried to buy an xbox directly from Microsoft, and then I would not have this issue because Microsoft would not have been able to sell me one it seems. There is a lesson here: don't trouble with Microsoft if you don't enjoy
    trouble.

    Greetings, DrivingAddict. You can use debit cards, but you may encounter issues when using prepaid debit cards. Is that what you are attempting to use in this case? You might want to log on to
    https://billing.microsoft.com and double check to make sure everything is configured correctly with your payment method according to this sticky:
