Not able to use my microsoft balance.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are experiencing difficulties with being able to use the funds on your account.

I would encourage you to
remove the payment instrument from your account first, and then add it once more when prompted. This should allow you to display your card on file when completing purchases.

As far as the funds on your account, we recommend to request a call from support so they can assist you. This is a known issue and is being investigated currently.

When you go to Contact Us, follow these steps to request a call from support:

• Step 1 ----click on Contact us
  
• Step 2 ----under what you having trouble with select Subscriptions & billing
  
• Step 3-----under what is the issue I can't redeem a code then hit next
  
  Step 4 ----scroll down to select request a call
  

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

Check to see if there are any outstanding balances on your account that could be preventing you from making purchases. If there is an outstanding balance on the account, you may not be able to make purchases until the balance is paid.

If you are using a payment method other than a credit or debit card (such as PayPal or a prepaid card), make sure the payment method is valid and up to date.

If you are still having problems, you can try contacting Microsoft customer support for help. They should be able to help you troubleshoot the problem and determine the cause of the problem.

Ola, since this balance is in your child's account, is it as a child account if it is linked to an adult account and authorized to purchases?

And which game you would be trying to buy, if it's One games you'll be able to buy with your account balance, but if they're 360 games the system doesn't allow it.

I see you've been working already with the Microsoft Store support team to try and help get this fixed with no success. At this point the only other thing you can try is to contact a Microsoft Advocate via https://support.xbox.com/contact-us and ask to be escalated when you get into chat.

However, I'd like to mention that an Advocate has the same account access that the store support has so they may not be able to help

Hi Georges, thanks for your reply. Yes this child account is linked to parent account(mine) and authorized for purchases. I am trying by Fortnite V Bucks for him, but in the payment screen it always asking for adding new payment method. Same stuff we already bought with the same balance earlier without any issue.
