Not Able To Send Messages From XBOX Console Companion (Beta)

Hello,

Today, for the first time, I opened XBOX Console Companion (Beta) to chat with my friends.

I send two messages to my friend and it reaches successfully.

Then I send a third message and it says to add my phone number.

I add my phone number and submit the code.

Then I close and open XBOX Console Companion (Beta) and I try to send it, but it says to verify my phone number
again.

What can I do ?

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue with messaging on the Xbox (Beta) app/console companion app. Once you verify your phone number again, do you receive a code or are you not receiving any codes for verification? Is this the
same phone number that is listed on your security information in your profile? I recommend

signing out of your profile in the Xbox (Beta) app, signing back in and then attempting to send messages again.

As the Xbox (Beta) app is still in development (hence, Beta), if you're experiencing issues using it, then I would recommend that you report this within the app so that it can be addressed.
In the app, when you pull out the menu at the bottom, there is an option for Feedback. If you report through there, that can get that information directly to the developers to investigate or add/fix those features.

Give the troubleshooting a try and let us know the results. Please also report any other issues that you have via the Feedback area as well to help us during this Beta period.

Yes, Xbox.com still works and allows me to send a message. I just downloaded the Beta Xbox app. I was able to send the message without any error messages. The official Xbox app still does not let me send a message. If the Beta app doesn't change much, than
I can only hope that it fixes the issue when it goes live.

Now, I still have to figure out why the messages aren't reaching him.

(separate issue aside from being able to send a message)

I found this in the Game Pass Ultimate FAQ

No Xbox One console? Starting the first week of December, look for a message from Xbox with your Spotify and Discord offer URLs in the Xbox
(Beta) app on Windows 10, or in the Xbox Console Companion App for iOS or Android.

The APP was updated and is simply called the Console Companion. The Beta APP and the console companion are pretty much identical at the moment so I think you only need the console companion which is the newest version. I have the beta app which updated
and is now simply called Xbox (beta) as I said there is no discernable difference.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with viewing your friends and sending messages.

I'd like to gather a bit more info in regards to this matter.

Are you able to view your friends list on the
Xbox website?
Are you able to see any of your friends via the
Xbox Console Companion app.
Are you able to send any messages using any of these alternative methods?

If you can provide for us this info, we might be able to provide much more appropriate troubleshooting steps to address this further.
