    Not able to Redeem the 1-month XBL gift.


    Customer Support advised me to make a post about not being able to Redeem the 1-month XBL subscription. So here it is.

    I never was able to redeem the 1 month XBL subscription. I received an error code each and every time I tried to redeem the code on my X1.

    There is a way to upgrade to gold without credit card. You can go and buy a pre-paid XBL subscription for either 1 month, 3 month or 12 months. Then scratch off the code-covering material and redeem your code and you will be able to play on-line.

    Redeem Gift Card Trouble

    I recently redeemed a $40 Xbox Gift Card. I wanted to use some of the money for V Bucks on Fortnite...

    I went onto Fornite which I was prompted with a error message with something along the lines of... "your account does not have Xbox Live Gold, Redeem Now." So I clicked 'Redeem' I was given a free month of XBL Gold but I believe my $40 was put towards future
    payments for XBL Gold.

    My $40 I redeemed is not a payment option for V Bucks and has been put towards recurring payments for XBL Gold

    Hi, I have 10$ in my wallet. I only use gift cards. So I want to subscribe, first month is 1$ (offer) then 4.99 recurring. So I want to choose to redeem a gift card as a backup payment method. What gift card do I need to redeem another 10$ to cover next
    month? or a 60$ gift card that covers a full year of 4.99 x 12? thank you.

    This is just so frustrating.

    I'm at the point where I'm willing to go the gift card route, but I cannot even figure out how to do that.

    I see 2 options on the Microsoft Store:

    1. A $75 gift card, but that won't help because he cannot get subscribed anyways

    2. A **1 month** PC Game Pass gift card that kicks in at $9.99/mo afterwards... he won't be able to redeem because of the recurring.

    I'm about to cry because I gave him "PC Game Pass" for Christmas and he has not been able to play yet.

    Why is this so difficult??
