    Not able to play or install games from Game Pass


    I noticed my Xbox app was not fully loading up the last couple of days, but games worked fine.

    Today I decided to try and update my Nvidia which I know had an update recently to check if it would fix the Xbox app not loading.

    It fixed and it now loads but games that belong to game pass are not starting at all. I get the Error Code 0x80004005 whenever I boot a game up and I don't know what to do anymore. I played for a couple hours before updating Nvidia and everything was fine.

    I've been going through "fixes" for over 2 hours now, restarted my device at least 10 times, tried to go back on the Nvidia update, I use Windows 10 and it's up to date, both Xbox App and Gaming Services are up to date, I'm signed in to both Xbox and Store with the same account, I didn't have trouble booting up an Ea Play game, I've removed and reinstalled Gaming Services and Xbox app, tried to repair and restore them, logged out and back in, games are up to date, verified if my date and time are set to automatic and they are, installed my Nvidia drivers from scratch, etc.

    When I tried to repair a game I got the error 0x87e00196.

    Tried to uninstall and install a game and got the error 0x80004005 again.

    I really don't know what to do anymore, I own Sea of Thieves through the Microsoft Store and it opens without any errors. Help please I'm frustrated.

    I see, in that case the best option would be use the new user in your PC if everything is working fine there

    While I was waiting I searched for some other threads similar to my problem, saw that option and did it, unfortunately the problem remains :(

    Hi, exists the possibility that the other profile is somehow corrupted. Try running the SFC tool there and after that give it a new try

    Ran the SFC tool, got the message that it didn't find any integrity violations and ran DISM and SFC again and still getting the error.
