Not able to play multiplayer games in Age of empires 3

Hello, I recently purchased Age of Empires 3 from steam store and installed it on my laptop. When I try to connect to a multiplayer game using my ESO account, it always shows an error bar stating 'failed
to join game'. This error comes in all the three variants of the game i.e. the normal one, war chiefs, and the asian dynasties I tried searching for various solutions on the web but none of them helped. I have my steam and Microsoft account from the same email
id, the one from which I am sending this email and my ESO username is maxxkarsh. Try to resolve my query at the earliest as i recently purchased the game and thus is a bit disappointing to not be able to play it in these lockdown days.

I have the same Problem, port forwording does not change anything, 3 of my friends have same problem! played this game Dec 2019 and worked at this date, but now, with no change, it is no more possible to play online

Have you tried port forwarding on your router? If I am not that wrong it should be the ports 2300 - 2310 TCP; 2300 - 2310 UDP and 80 TCP & UDP. Also have you tried a restart of your Router with a power cycle?

When you try to connect to ESO, you may receive the following error message: Failure to Connect to ESO Server

This issue may occur if you have an antivirus or firewall program running on the computer. For example, if you are using firewall software such as Zone Alarm, MacAfee Personal Firewall, Norton Internet Security, or Black Ice Defender that allows for or blocks
access to the Internet on a per-program basis.

To resolve this issue, disable your antivirus or firewall software. You can contact the program manufacturer to help you disable the program. Some of these programs you can see on the lower-right corner by the clock.
You may be able to disable it. To do this, right-click the program, and then click Disable or click Exit.
If the issue continues to occur, perform a clean boot procedure.

Hello, actually I am able to login to my ESO account without any difficulties but the problem occurs when I try to play a multiplayer game. I am not to able to connect with other players and there is always a message stating 'failed to connect game'. I
tried disabling my firewall and also made sure that my game is updated to the latest version. The problem still prevails.
