Not able to play certain games with only one other friend.

Thanks for the testing Shadow! Just to clarify, you now seem to be able to play online with no lag, but when you play with a friend you start experiencing lag, correct? Does this happen with any friend you are playing with or just certain ones? Do you notice
a lag issue in other games if you play with others? This might narrow it down a little. Thanks!

Some games have the option of being able to play only with / against other PC players, who are the biggest users of mouse and keyboard. But one thing is certain: this trend of unification of platforms is here to stay and the focus from now on is to perfect

When Microsoft came out with the Xbox 360 there were certain games that are made in a certain way on the original Xbox, using different graphics engines that were still compatible with the Xbox 360. They worked quite hard to make as many as they could compatible
with a series of system updates until they stopped. I'm assuming they were able to only emulate a certain amount of games using a certain engine compared to others. There's unfortunately no way to get this specific game to work as the emulation files for this
game don't exist in the backward compatibility list.

The only way you'd be able to play this specific game would be to go out and buy an original Xbox.

The Xbox One was released in 2013 and more games are being made for that console only and not the 360. So if their friends have upgraded to the One, they will no longer be able to play with those friends and there will be some games they won't be able to
play on the 360. The 360 itself will still be working for a while though.

For most games the answer is yes, although certain features or modes may be disabled (for example in Forza Motorsport 5, you won't be able to play multiplayer or have access to drivatars). Other games, the answer is no (For example, Titanfall is an online-only
game).
