Not able to open any apps (same with games)

I'm having trouble using my xbox one with apps and games I can select an app like youtube and netflix but the screen just turns black and nothing happens. I've tried turning off and on my xbox but that hasn't worked, I've also tried doing a reset on the
console but nothing has changed. Would anyone know what might work?

Xbox One Won't Load Anything

My Xbox One Will Not Open Any Apps Games Or Even Settings
Two days ago when I attempted

to play my Xbox One, I was unable to open any games. Then while testing the issue i realized I could not open any apps settings or even help. Im at a complete loss. Ive attempted a cold reset but ive tried at least ten times with the same outcome. Does anyone
have an idea what happened to it? Is it just done for then?

 

Microsoft Mahjong and Ultimate Word Games will not open

I had the same thing happen Monday of this week. I deleted both apps, restarted my computer and then try to download the apps. A error message can up and said unable to download right now, will keep retrying. After two hours, I was able to download apps
and play the games.

Today again both will not open.

Totally frustrating if I had not paid for premium for both of them, I would not put up with this.

No I wasn't and no error codes but somehow it started to work after a night of having it unplugged. Not sure what was happening but I've got it sorted.

The same happened to me today. Games and apps won't start after selecting them. The screen turns black and nothing happens. I made several resets but nothing is working. Even the app for selecting games and apps won't start.

The funny thing however is that I can start apps and games with voice commands. I started Halo 5 this way and was told to update the game but it seems that the system is unable to download the update.

No error codes were displayed. Any idea how to solve this problem? I was really looking forward to playing Halo 5 today.

 

Nevermind. I think I found a way around it by deleting Halo 5. It seems I've downloaded the wrong version which caused problems when downloading the day one patch. I'm now reloading Halo 5 and everything seems to be working fine.
