Not able to install a game to my HDD but works when I install it to the OS drive

On your hard drive, there is a folder called ''WpSystem'', take ownership of the folder and rename it to ''WpSystem.old'', save and try downloading the game again.

If the problem persists, follow this path, delete everything from the folder, restart your PC and try downloading the game again.

Windows > serviceprofiles > networkservice > appdata > local>microsoft > windows > deliveryoptimisation > cache >

yes i have tried to change the default storage device and that didn't work i have 4 drives:

Main HDD (C

HDD 2 (A

SSD 1 (D

SSD 2 (B

All the games that are installed on the Main HDD which has the OS installed and I'm trying to install the new games on HDD 2 and its not working but other games are on there okay and i did what you suggested and it still did not work, the only drive I have space on is the (A drive. My windows version is 22H2 (OS Build 19045.3324)

I have had this problem with the game pass for months. I realized the only time that this happens is when I install games to my D drive, but when I install them to my OS drive it works fine. This game pass may be the glitchiest piece of software I've ever
used. Hands down.

This actually worked . I never had this problem before and my M.2 SSD was always my windows install folder and I installed in that HDD without changing anything . Plus I have one more SSD which I also use without setting it as default installation drive . Hope I will still be able to use the other two drives when the game needs to be on a faster drive . If not I know what to do now at least .

MS might have done better to install a 128GB flash drive for OS and firmware stuff plus an HDD for games. Some new gen computers have these hybrid drives to push the ever-growing OS needs to its own storage space.
