Not able to hear other players/people

Hi,

I have a brand new xbox one and headset, unfortunately just now my console has stopped allowing me to hear other people. It was working fine earlier as I was playing, used netflix for awhile, joined a party and then could not hear anyone. I can be heard
by others, and my mic is showing it is picking up my voice, but I can't hear anyone speak in parties or in game. I have tried to disconnect my headset, hard reset my xbox, my NAT is open, used a new set of batteries, anything that I could think of.

Any suggestions?

Not able to hear other players

Hi,

I own the new controller (up to date) and I plug my own stereo headset (Steelseries Siberia V2) on 3.5mm jack. With that headset I can't hear other people in game like rainbow six siege but I can hear and talk with friends without any problems in Xbox One's
group.

When I play I can hear game sounds and more the game recognize my micro because it puts the headset icon.

So, how I can hear others people in game with my own headset (I don't have a Microsoft headset, so I can't try with that) ?

Not able to hear other players

This is a frequent problem that plagues some gamers. It could be a simple fix. With my TB headset, I realized I had to play adjust the volume buttons on the adapter. When in a party, I would have to turn down the game volume a bit and turn the chat volume
up and then I was able to hear people. Then I would have to reverse this when going to game chat.

mine works in a party by myself soon as someone joins or I join somoenes it stops working anyone got any suggestions was working fine earlier also the little black sponge bit covering the earpiece has fallen off surely that wouldn't cause it stop working

 

It went away after a few hours last night. I played again this afternoon and could hear people in game, just now I joined a party and immediately I can no longer hear anyone. Why is this happening? Really INCREDIBLY frustrating.

 

@xboxsupport still a real issue makes people think xbox just dosent work
