not able to download xbox live games with gold

For the past 3 games that have come out for games with gold on the xbox 360 I have unable to download them as they say that download at this time. Is there an issue with the downloading of the 360 games or is it a problem with my connection although the
router is right next to the 360.

Games with Gold download not available

I have a Xbox live Gold subscription that doesn't expire for several months. I used to be able to download games with gold from the featured tab. However they have disappeared and for several months I've not been able to download any of the games. No problem
with the network connection and am signed with my live account.

any clues???

 

Xbox Live Gold not Letting me play online

Bought Xbox Live gold recently. Says i have a live gold membership under account info on both the xbox and computer, and i was able to download games with gold.

But when i go to play online in any game, it says that i do not have Live gold and are therefore not eligible for online play despite having it. Solution?

 

Have you hardreset your modem and router?

Does your account region match your actual region?

If yes to both

Then when downloading dont exit out of thr download screen and just let it download

Dont browse oe play games while you are waiting

 

There are 2 possibilities.

Does your account region match your actual location?

Some games are region locked and so your account region must match you actual physical location.

If you account region does match your location then there is another possible reason.

There is a bug in the dashboard software that corrupts downloads if you use background downloading.

When you download a game it is essential that you stay on the active downloads screen otherwise you may get a can't download error.

So go into your storage settings, and delete the partially downloaded games. Then try downloading again but make sure you stay on the active downloads screen. If you play a game or app or shut the console down for background downloading the download will
corrupt and you will get a can't download error.

 

so there is a known bug then. I did all of that and reset everything. Checked my connection and its still good. I haven't had this problem until the dashboard update a couple of weeks back.

 

Well this bug has been going on for months. I first had it back when Tomb Raider was the free game with gold.

Also as it's been happening for months I don't know if it is known to MS or whether they are even trying to fix it.

It's only the last couple of days that I became aware that it's something to do with background download. I almost bought a new console until I saw the other threads on the issue.

There is also the possibility that you have a totally unrelated problem as you don't say whether deleting the partial downloads and downloading again while staying on the active downloads list fixes it.
