Not able to download free games

I have purchased a gold membership for my 10 year old son but when I look for free games for him and try to download a 7+ game are I get the error that this game can not be downloaded for Child or Teen account? Is this correct?

Not able to download free games with LiveGold

Why do I have to submit Credit Card details to download my free game within LiveGold?

When trying to download Guacamelee I am promted to give Credit Card deatails to pay zero money.

If I choose not to connect my Credit Card to my account, that must be my choice! I have bought my LiveGold and activated with code.... Reason:

My Xbox regionsetting is UK. My Creditcard Danish. When adding my Credit Card, I can not enter proper ZIP-Code.

Thank you for your reply, but that is not quite accurate.

I am trying to download directly to my Xbox one, and it still requires Credit Card details, even if the price is £ 0.00.

I did not have the same problem with other free games, I have them downloaded with no further issues.

Hope this can be solved by ensuring all free games do not prompt Credit Card.

 

It sounds like there are parental controls preventing this. You can change these from the console itself or the website Xbox.com, or possibly Safety & Privacy settings which require parental authorisation to change.

Thanks Maxen13 I have checked my parent controls and have the game rating at 12 I have Privacy & Online settings as Custom with the following Not Allowed, Web Browsing, Kinect sharing, Social Network sharing, Friends List, Voice Data Collection, Profile
Viewing, Explicit content, xbox marketing, partner marketing, should I look anywhere else?

Yes I know about Saints row 3rd that is part of the Games with Gold but I have had an email saying I can get these games

So I tried Dorito's Crash Course Pegi 7 and it comes up with the error this game can not be downloaded for Child or Teen account?
