    Not able to connect to one friend


    I am having trouble playing with one particular friend online. I can be in a party and talk to each other but can't play together. I can play with any other friends just fine and so can he, its only when we try with each other. Its across multiple games
    and doesn't have anything to do with NAT type since we have both opened those to no avail. I am thinking it is an xbox issue at this point. Any suggestions?

    You're welcome! I kind of feel bad that your son won't be able to play with his sister. At least you know what the problem is now, and next time it will work out.

    Are you able to connect and talk to your friends on other games or just the one game you were playing?

    Are you able to play online without connect to your friends and without party chat?

    go to xbox.com on the PC sign into your account, click on the gamer tag in the upper right corner, you will get a drop down box which says xbox profile, there will be 3 dots next to it. Click on the dots it will bring you to a new page. On the next
    page in the left column you will see a selection that says privacy and online safety. This is how you adjust your account settings for friends. It is a lot harder to find than it used to be.

    There are two sections, one for windows 10 and Xbox one and a separate one for Xbox 360 and that is the one you need to adjust

    Also try removing and re adding your profile to the console and make sure your security is up to date.

    Not able to connect on Xbox live with a friend.

    This is what I get when I click the "Devices" section, when trying to remove and add the device. I refreshed several times and keep getting an error and I just wish there was email support for xbox live but I can't find any. I have changed my privacy settings
    and loosened them, but as they were, almost all of them were set to "everyone." So, I don't think it changed anything. It looks to me like xbox has some kind of internal error since I can't view my devices. Thank you for taking the time to post a reply! I

    Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue connecting to worlds. Is anyone able to connect to each other. For example are you able to connect to friend, or friend able to connect to your world? You may want to check your network settings for all of
    you. If anyone has a
    strict NAT or moderate NAT     they will have issues connecting. Are you able to use party chat successfully, or other multiplayer games together?
