Not able to change Privacy and Online safety settings

Hi,

I have recently purchased a game "Sea of Thieves" using my Microsoft account. In order for me to be able to play the game on my PC (Windows 10) I need to join multiplayer games and hence I need to change my Join multiplayer games settings by Allowing it
in the Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety setting.

I am able to check Allow, but when I submit it, the following message appear.

What am I doing wrong?

Xbox LIVE > Online safety and privacy. Make sure your online status is not blocked.

• Sign into your Xbox LIVE account on your console.
• Go to Settings, then select Privacy.
• Choose Change Settings, Then select Customize.
• Change the settings to what you like it to be.
• To exit, press the B button on your controller, Then choose Save and Exit.

I've encountered a glitch

If an adult (Parental) account is associated with your safety and privacy settings then you are unable to change those settings.

I have tried this for 3 days now and it is still not working.

Please try the following:

• Sign into Xbox Live. You must be online and signed in to make changes.
• You’re signed in to the console using an adult account. Children and teens are restricted from
  making changes to their
  own privacy and online safety settings.

• If you receive an error message when you try to change your privacy settings, search for the error using the
  Error Code Lookup Tool.
