    Not able to change child account into adult account


    for several years on Xbox i was unable to download Xbox 360 games because my account was a child account i have tried to make my account a adult account but there is no way. Can anyone help me?

    Parent account troubles (URGENT! PLEASE ANSWER WITHIN 7 DAYS IF POSSIBLE)

    In order to chnage settings on th child account you MUST be logged into the parent account. When the child account is 18 years old you can then promote it to an adult account using the instructions posted here:

    support.xbox.com/.../promote-child-account

    Otherwise if the account is not able to be promoted yet then unless you can get into the parent account you wont be able to change the child account settings until its eligible to be promoted to an adult.

    If the account you have is a child account, you will not be able to change any settings yourself. Only an adult account linked to the child account will be able to change these settings.

    You can change a child account to an adult account, but you can't change an adult account to a child account. In order to manage them, you would have to create new child accounts for them.
