Not able to buy games online

    Not able to buy games online


    Hey all, apologies if this is the wrong spot, but was directed here by the support system.

    I am trying to buy a game. Sounds simple, apparently not. The console itself cannot find a single game, all searches give either music or films, and don't allow any games to be found. Thought I would be clever and buy it online, but was denied, as the
    account isn't allowed to buy games online, please buy through your console.

    In a probably related note, am also unable to access games for gold, even though I have confirmed that the subscription is all fine.

    Any ideas, as I am at my wits end!

    im not able to play games online

    Also being a free member does not grant you access to certain parts of xbox live. You might need to upgrade your live account to gold to play online in the way you want to play. Are you looking at playing games with other players or just accessing leaderboards
    and such? To actually play games you'll need gold

    No no. it just means there might be technical issues they are working on fixing. You can check the status here:
    support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status or try again later.

    Yep I agree. Not being able to buy a console, buy a game and play at will. What kind of Communists garbage is that. Online gaming is in for a rude awakening.

    You should be able to buy a new online pass within the game. If you'll be using the same Xbox between accounts, you'll still be able to use your online pass on that console, as well.

    Nope, the 17+ is just the recommended age, and the age you need to be to buy the game. This means your parents will need to buy the game for you. EA's online age restriction is only 13, so yes, you will be able to play online :).

    If you were to buy Game Pass Ultimate, that would be true and you would be able to play the game and play online. However, for people who only buy Game Pass Core, the game is not available through that subscription and they would need to buy the game. If the game is eventually removed from Game Pass, you wouldn't be able to play it without buying the game either.
