Not able to buy 360 'Games with Gold' games

And talso billing issues isn't taken care of on forums you need to take care of it on phone support

how many regions show up in commerce? If more then one you could have a split billing issue usually happens when you change the console regions without actually living there and not entering the billing info

If you are using a prepaid credit card that's your issue

It's playing Russian roulette with online services

No one on forums can help you with billing issues

 

Went to live chat support yesterday. My billing address isn't the issue, that's all correct.

Unfortunately they couldn't help me, after all the resetting etc the 'bug' is still there.

It's not a billing issue, there is nothing to bill. And this is the xbox support forum, not a third party community forum. People from MS could/should also browse here and potentially help out.

Disappointed in this bug in their system. Especially the fact that they advertise it as "free game for every paying xbox live gold member", when it's in fact more like ".. with credit card available".

If it isn't accepting your payment method no one can help you because it's a billing isuse

You will have to work with support

 

Ask if they can look into it usf you have a split billing

If you do due to switching regions for other content that's your issue

 

Anything to do with creditcard and payment options cannot be addressed by forums but by billing support

If you have to ask for tier 2 review

Tier 1 may not be able to see it

Only support can help add a payment method

 

Except payment methods aren't needed for games for gold on xbox one nor does it check it

It's only webportal or website purchases for 360 games not just games with gold

With xbox one your payment method doesn't need to match your account region it just need to must the console region this doesn't change your account region however it does cause a split billing issue

So I donno why you are comparing the two so if you switched to a us but you are really in France that won't work

However 360 doesnt change the region on the fly like that hence why the payment method must match your account region

If you do the previously mentioned trick to get content that you aren't supposed to

 

A payment method is required to confirm you are an adult or to make a 0.00 dollar purchase from the website

The only official method for non payment option is the 360 console not the xbox one

Any suggestions. To do it any other way is a violation of the terms of use

 

The payment method check is one of the controls of xbox live bypassing the controls is a violation except for official ways

 

I have exactly the sane issue all free games work except the xbox 360 ones which say I dont have a valid payment even though I do both paypall and debit card ...

 

Hey, Brammster! If it's not giving you the option to use PayPal when making these purchases, or registering that there's even a payment method on your account, then you need to attempt to add that payment option on an Xbox 360. There is no way around this.
The 360 Marketplace is different from the Xbox One Store, and most of the site is built around the tech that runs the Xbox One Store.

Please give that a shot (you will likely have to borrow a friend's console or get one second hand to do this) and let us know if it's still giving you issues. A credit or debit card will also be accepted, if you are able to try that out.

I don't have a Xbox 360 at the moment; replaced it with the One. Don't have a creditcard and I think it's still processing iDeal because that one doesn't show up after two €0.01 transactions.

Glad I finally get an official account in this thread after all this time..

Hopefully you can answer this, why is a payment method required for what are marked as free items? There is still no technological reason given for this requirement. Other than "it just is".

Also, why doesn't the xbox.com page mention this requirement? Besides the "You need to be a paying xbox live gold member". Because that is currently the only requirement you state for your customers.

Also, account.microsoft.com finds PayPal so it is correctly connected to my account. But somehow xbox.com ignores it. And just states I have No methods. Why no single line on the top about the method that was ignored and most important; why.

 

I have the same issue as Brammster.

Tried to download Borderlands but there is no download button where it should have to be.

Not billing adress. The free Xbox One games can be downloaded.

I've downloaded Lords of the fallen some days ago.

Visited the game hub, the price said free and there was a button on the left which said Download.

In Borderlands the same button says "Show Prices ". Then on the next page free again then the issue that there are nopayment options.

Why this is allowing with Xbox360games only?

You can not download Xbox360games by Xbox One directly.

You have to download it on 360 OR PC!

Log in to your account on PC, add the game to queue using your PC instead of your console.

Then you can download it on Console!!!

 

I'm having this same issue, where I can't get Borderlands, and it is a shame because I really like the series. I really hope this issue gets resolved, as the month is almost over.
