Not a rant, a plea

You traded your Xbox One for the Xbox One forums... fair trade.

 

I dont get these rants and that is what they are. I kept my 360 but haven't touched it since launch. I'm personally happy next gen is here and look forward to when they stop making games for last gen since it is so out of the date and things run and look
much better on x1 and ps4.

 

The Xbox One is by far the best console i have owned ever. The games will come with time. Battlefield 4 has its problems but they are more prevelant on PS4 than Xbox One. Those guys have the worst issues with lag you have ever seen. Also, again comparing
it to the closest competition, the lineup of games on PS4 is not as good right now as the Xbox One. Like i said, games will come with time. The end of this year/mid next should probably show us a much better library.

 

I never traded it in nor said I was trading it in. I have just not used it in a while, the netflix app is even inferior. I constantly get bad quality pictures (on a wired connectiong with 80 down 40 up) use my smart tvs netflix app and have absolute HD within
the first 10 seconds of playing a show. I'm not trading it in, that would be a waste and stupid. I have just lost faith, and am done defending XB1 like I have been foolishly for months. If it was released to early that is no one fault but MS and that should
not be an excuse.

 

I'm in the exact same boat as you, traded in my 360 to beta test this console...Felt the same as you as well, loved the original xbox, the 360 and figured this would be just the same. Unfortunately, i find they applied nothing they perfected on the 360
and should have been an integral part of the one. Why no dashboard?? this was the best feature of the 360 and felt it revolutionized console gaming. WTF is going with the party chat?? Talk about isolation, i feel like i left Miami and moved to Siberia with
this console.

Then the games....40% of the games for this console consist of some lego theme or involve the kinnect..

Then the other games feel like android apps for my phone. This console feels like a giant step backwards......

It's always that way. People here will over-analyze everything said to the point where they completely miss the point and then you feel like you are running in circles trying to clarify.

 

Have you tried Netflix since last dash update? This last update fixed all the jitter and buffering issues for me. I have full hd on Netflix and hulu without issue my internet is only 15 down 1 up. Now they need to add super hd for x1 like ps4 has it is
slightly better.

 

Thanks Merlin, I'll have to try. I don't know when the last update was but I stopped using it about two weeks ago due to the same issues. It was actually embarrassing because I called my ISP ready to bite their head off because I thought it was proof of
"throttling" and ended up looking like a lame lol.

 

You talk about the new Borderlands as if MS were publishing it. They ain't gotta choice in the matter and 2K say it will not release on next-gen, so it will not be so.

This is a rant, and you talk about there not being arcade games. Aside from the excellent quality low-price downloadables (KI, Peggle, Max:TCoB, Project Spark and more) and the former and latter being F2P, there is also no more arcade as publishing arcade
meant you only got 2GB. Now it "retail game" or "downloadable games". And what about Titanfall? Also, DR3 is excellent get it.

At least you didn't pull out $100, gimmick, 720p, 1080p or "the opponent has more exclusives", so I am thankful for that at least.

 

The Xbox One has had one of the best console launches ever. I've been gaming for many years and bought many at launch and all fade in comparison to the amount of games and apps available on the One. I think this launch, both Xbox and PS4 saw a LOT of new
early adopters and to be honest I think many were being unrealistic in their expectations.

A console launch has never been this busy, with the amount of stuff coming out so quickly and the breakneck speed with which Ms are implementing updates. I've got games lined up waiting to be played on my Xbox One, and I play almost every day.

I think maybe some of the people that post on these forums bashing the Xbox One need to ask themselves whether or not they really are gamers? I'm a gamer, and I've never been so busy gaming. The Xbox One is the best gaming experience I've ever had, and it's
only going to get better. Much, much better.

 

I was in the exact same boat, you know what I did, a leap of faith with thoughts that the grass is greener on the other side and guess what... I couldn't be happier!!!

Don't feel obligated to stay with the X1, i've gone from;

Atari to Nintendo to Playstation to Xbox, back to PS4, if your not happy take a chance, you may be really glad you did! I think the X1 is a great system, but I was more disappointed then satisfied constantly over a 4 month period... now I am happy!!!

 

Lol to the trolls. If you think titanfall is phenomenal to standards of the top games on previous platforms I really don't think you have had many excellent gaming experiences. Titanfall is astounding out of the gates, but at the end of the day it doesn't
stand up to Halo even with its two tricks (mechs, and wall running). Which don't get me wrong its tricks are amazing, but what they needed to learn from Halo is a game needs to be much more than that. If anyone even mentions that glorified playlist they call
a campaign "I'm going to lose...MY FREAKING MIND." Jk, to the people who got all upset I'm sorry. I should of just clarified that I was venting about my system. I'm sorry I expected all the tools of the 360 to be utilize instead of a repeat of the 360 Launch
but with better hardware. ***Cujo thanks for the tip, I've already done that though, I upgraded my PC = ). The most straight shooting game system there is lmao. Anyways I look forward to seeing X1 step up their game, Its a shame that I now only own Titanfall

You can look this up, however in short:

"Larry Hryb explained that the Xbox One is still new in the market, compared to the Xbox 360 which ran for 10 years during which many new features were added. He said that the Xbox One is a ‘completely new architecture’ so they cant just take all the old
features from Xbox 360 and add them to the Xbox One right away."

Expecting the Xbox One to launch with the same features is entirely delusional, they're working to bring the as much over as they can. Remember the 360 on launch? It was empty and nothing compared to today - Xbox One had a ton more features on launch.

I'm happy with my purchase and optimistic about the future.
